Dr Alan Chan
General Practitioner
Alan was born in Hong Kong and moved to New Zealand when he was 10. He grew up in Glenfield and attended Westlake Boys’ High School where he became Dux in 2002.
Alan completed his medical training from Wellington School of Medicine University of Otago in 2008.
Since then he has worked in various hospitals including Wellington, Auckland, Starship and Middlemore. He entered into general practice in 2012 and completed his fellowship in 2016.
Alan joined the practice in late 2013 when our long-time GP Richard Mules retired. His special interests include travel medicine, men’s health and minor surgery. He completed a post graduate certificate in travel medicine in 2014.
Alan is married and has a daughter. He enjoys travelling, playing badminton, DIY and good food.
Alan is available for appointments Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
